Deacons
The All Souls Deacons are a group of members who are elected annually by the entire congregation. They represent long-time members of All Souls who have been especially active in its programs, groups, and activities. They serve as the institutional memory of All Souls. Contact the deaconspay dues
Robin Bossert, President
Robin's Bio
Robin has been a member of All Souls since 1997, serving twice on the AS Board, and is currently on the Heart & Soul Board. He is the Founder and Executive Director of Navigators USA, a secular, all-gender scouting movement, and President of the oldest and largest ski club in the tri-state area. He is a hike leader for the Appalachian Mountain Club and recently retired after 35 years in public relations and corporate communications video production. Robin has attended many Unitarian Universalist Association General Assemblies and makes an annual pilgrimage to Star Island.
Victor Fidel, Vice President
Victor's Bio
Victor Fidel works at J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank and has been a member of All Souls since 2004. He has served on many committees, including the Board as both chair and president (2014-16). He is the author of The Quest for Religious & Community Identity: The Story Behind the Architecture and Evolution of All Souls Church, New York City (The Lapine Press, 2010). Victor holds a B.A. and Master’s in American Studies from Columbia University. Born in El Salvador, he lives in Harlem with his wife Heather, son Lucas, and cat Jeena. He enjoys journaling, learning Portuguese, and playing guitar.
Carol Emmerling, Secretary
Carol's Bio
Carol came to All Souls in 2002 and has been involved in many groups, including Stories with Soul, the Adult Education Committee, Small Group Ministry, and the Board of Trustees. She is happy to be attending worship in person again after joining remotely from New Jersey during the pandemic. She has recently returned to Community Choir and the Caring Connections Team and is enjoying both immensely, along with her role as Secretary of the Deacons.
